Fairy Warrior Fusion Tiger Lock (ULTRAOMEGAPUSSYPOPPERFUSIONDECK)
Deck Description
THE FAIRY OVERLORD HAS RETURNED ONCE AGAIN TO BRING YOU ALL MY LATEST FAIRY HEAT.
Okay. Not totally sure where to start off with this one, but I'll start with the "Tiger Lock", as many new players likely aren't familiar with it. This is a 3-card combo that basically loops Yamiruler the Dark Delayer's effect endlessly. This used to be... I'd say prevalent, but still nothing more than niche... if that makes any sense at all. This combo starts by simply normal summoning Yamiruler the Dark Delayer and using it's effect. Given it lives to the next turn, you summon Modorina the Light Retriever and using it's effect to bounce Yamiruler. This can let you use something like Trade-In to draw cards, but in this combo, you'll be summoning Yamiruler again, tributing Modorina and another monster on your board. Then, you summon Tiger Roll the Sushi Fairy and activate it's effect, adding back Modorina and potentially another card. At the start of your next turn, summon Modorina again and use it's effect, summon Yamiruler, use it's effect, then use Tiger Roll to add back Modorina. As long as you keep an open zone and do not tribute Tiger Roll, you can do this endlessly, given your opponent doesn't kill yamiruler or Tiger Roll. So, the deck is built around the concept of the Tiger Lock, and extending that to be able to use Agaribel in tandem with Tiger Roll, Modorina, and Valkyrian Sewkyrie.
I don't honestly think there's too much else to say about this deck. Originally, this deck was a list adapted from a similar list that topped in the Korean Meta, focusing on the same idea of the Tiger Lock and Agaribel having synergy in a deck based around the lock and warrior fusion. That list used psychic cards in CAN:D Live and JAM:P Set! to provide outs for boards that this deck can't answer, as well as to easier clear opponent's boards to better set up the Tiger Lock. I've made the decision to play a metallion engine over the psychic cards, as I personally feel it better amplifies both the offensive and defensive aspects of the deck. If you do wish to play the psychic version, play x3 CAN:D, x2 Psyphickupper, x2 A.I. Bear Can, in place of the main deck metallion fusion materials.
I don't think there's many flex slots in this deck, but if they do exist, they are: Crisis at the Sacred Tower, and Ghost Cyclone. You can absolutely cut Ghost Cyclone for a different form of S/T removal, I personally haven't tested many, but I came to a possibly rushed conclusion that Ghost Cyclone was the best simply because it doesn't cost much to use. You do also, of course, have access to tools such as Metallion Asurastar in your extra deck, but Ghost Cyclone is a quick option in the main deck for you to use. Crisis at the Sacred Tower is simply a very good card against the majority of decks, and can be strong enough to end turns single handedly. Those are your flex slots, as well as my theories on them.
At the end of the day, this deck really isn't at all what people picture or even consider to be fairies. And yes, this deck is largely not a fairy deck, and doesn't rely, or at least use its fairy monsters as an absolute neccesity in it's strategy. It has options and doesn't have to use the fairy monsters as a backbone, whether that fact is something you want to see here or not. It's honestly a little sad to admit, but Fairy is a very very mediocre deck. There best card gains them 1000 attack. Which, to be fair(y), a 3500 attack point monster does out a lot of boards. Sushi Fairy is one of my most beloved decks, as it's absolutely filled to the brim with all kinds of wacky, really interesting synergies and interactions within itself. However, it doesn unfortunatelly fall flat. As mentioned before, Fairy's do do some things, and do have a game plan, but they are painfully average when it comes to accomplishing this. And in a game where "any deck can come back", the painful mediocratey just doesn't cut it anymore... which, did it ever?
If you're looking for a generic Fairy build, this clearly isn't the place. This list was meant to be innovative and hold out hope for a combo and a deck that has been lost to time, upgrading it with new cards like Trade-In. Regardless, at the end of the day, even in a casual setting, if you're looking for a generic Fairy list, you're borderline looking for a loss. Which, hurts a whole ton to say. But I think it's true.
That being said, I will always hold out hope for Fairies and I will always be looking for innovative and creative ways to elevate this deck. Just because a deck isn't good at a casual or competitive level doesn't mean it shouldn't be used - TRUST I will bring u all new fairy HEAT in due time. Holding out hope Go Rush will bring us a new Fairy deck, always <33
